Our Work

Ordinarily you won't hear a lot about us.  We keep out of the spotlight and crack on with it.  We are happy for the companies we sell the land to, to get the publicity.  We feel that our results speak volumes, so we don't have to.  But we are very proud of what we have done to date and highlight a few of our recent projects below.

Fairfield Business Park, Green Road, Penistone

After acquiring the historical 1930's David Brown Factory in the heart of Penistone, we developed the site into the local thriving Business Park it is to date. Now home to 14 independent offices totalling 15,000sqft with a further 66,000sqft of warehouse space home to a large packaging company. Looking at the local area and the quality of the existing use, the one track opinion of 'build, build, build' didn't suit here and as such we diversified and enabled many others to prosper and grow.

Farm Road, Sheffield

Farm Road, Sheffield

Situated prominently within Sheffield City Centre and just a five-minute walk from Sheffield's main train station, is a piece of land that we acquired. It is a major development currently has an active planning permission for 336 BTR apartments.  Plans recently submitted to the local planning authority will contribute significantly to the housing requirements of central Sheffield, replacing a 1.1 acre brownfield site, which was vacant for many years.   We then sold the site to a well-known company, BlueCastle Capital to continue to build out the building.

Coal Drops, Penistone

Being based in Penistone, this site is seen as being our legacy scheme. Along side our main businesses, we brought this onboard to give something back to the community and our vision is to restore the site that is steeped in history back to it's former glory. Great George Street, Leonardo & Thoresby House

Leonardo Building in Leeds

When the world was brought to a standstill with COVID-19 back in March 2020, we entered into contract with Leeds City Council to purchase the former council offices known as 2 Great George Street, Leonardo and Thoresby House. At a highly uneasy period for everyone, Fairbank stayed true to their commitment and continued to completion on the £15m deal. Over a short time, we then structured a sale to spilt the buildings to sell on two very well known companies - McClaren Group and Priestley Homes Ltd.

Miry Lane - Netherthong

Miry Lane, Netherthong

We identified this piece of land as an area prime for development, although in the Local Plan, it was not without it's challenges. However, after working closely with our talented team, we obtained planning permission on the site to deliver a scheme of 30+ houses. An onwards sale was swiftly negotiated and agreed prior to market to Heywood Homes.
